With a black 12.5 cm house number from the Hattem collection, you give your front door a refined, modern look. The digits have long, straight lines and open curves, so they look light and are easy to read. Matt black suits almost any façade: on light brick, white render or timber cladding the digits stand out clearly, and next to black window frames, a black letterbox or a dark outdoor light they form a single whole.
Besides the digits 0 to 9, the same style also includes the letters A, B and C, a dash and a slash. This lets you put together any address, whether it is 7, 12A, 3-5 or 21/2. All characters are the same height and thickness, so the whole stays calm and balanced. You order per character: for house number 18, you choose the 1 once and the 8 once. That gives you a black 12.5 cm house number that fits your address exactly.
You decide how the house number goes on the façade. Without spacers the digit sits flat against the wall; with the supplied spacers it stands about 1 cm away from the façade. That floating effect adds depth, and in side light a subtle shadow falls behind the digits. With the installation template you mark the drill holes precisely, so all characters hang straight and evenly spaced.
The digits are made of zinc with a black finish. Zinc does not rust, so the house number can stay outside all year round, in rain, frost and sun. A soft, damp cloth is all you need to clean it. The same model is also available in gold, silver and white.
Choose the characters one by one and add each one to your basket separately: in this example the 1, the 2 and the A. If you need the same character twice, as in 44, increase the quantity to 2.
For a front door, a letterbox or a garden post, a black 12.5 cm house number is a pleasant size: easy to read from the pavement and nicely in proportion with the front door. For a façade further from the street, there are also house numbers of 15, 20 and 30 cm.
Definitely. On red or orange brick, matt black gives a calm, crisp contrast. The black digits also look great on yellow brick, white render and light wood.
A comfortable height is around eye level, roughly 1.50 to 1.80 metres, next to or above the front door. Choose a clear spot where the outdoor light shines on it in the evening.
Order before 15:00 and your house number will be delivered the next day (within the Netherlands). Shipping within Europe is free. You have 15 days to change your mind and this house number comes with a 1-year warranty.
