This 15 cm house number in antique bronze combines a clean-lined typeface with a warm finish. The Wieler digits have straight lines, round curves and an even stroke width, making them easy to read even from a distance. The bronze has a dark base with lighter, warm accents, giving the house number a lived-in, crafted look.
Antique bronze looks great on red brick, a wooden façade or light cladding, and suits a home with a rural or industrial character. Together with a black or bronze outdoor lamp, a wooden front door and wrought-iron details, it creates a warm, coherent whole. The warm colour also looks lovely next to greenery, such as a hedge or ivy. A grey or anthracite façade, on the other hand, provides a calm base against which the bronze stands out warmly and the classic digits are shown at their best.
The digits are made of zinc and are fixed flat to the surface with the supplied screws through small holes in the digit. The screw heads are part of the design and reinforce the robust character. On wood you screw straight in; on stone, concrete or render you also use wall plugs. Zinc does not rust, so the house number can stay outside all year round.
The clean-lined typeface with the visible screws gives the Wieler a robust, almost industrial character. That suits a home with plenty of wood, Corten steel or black window frames, but also a farmhouse or a detached house surrounded by greenery. The antique bronze connects those two worlds: rugged in shape, warm in colour. It is exactly that combination that makes the house number personal.
You order this 15 cm house number in antique bronze per digit, from 0 to 9. The same classic Wieler digits are also available in shiny silver. If you would like a different size, also take a look at the other house numbers from Altag.
Antique bronze is a dark bronze tone with lighter, warm accents, as if the metal has been outside for years. This makes every digit look lively, and the house number goes well with natural materials such as wood and brick.
Yes, a bronze 15 cm house number is easy to read from the pavement and the street; it is a common size for a façade. For a door or letterbox, a smaller size such as the Merum Bronze 10 cm is also a lovely option.
The Wieler has a dark antique bronze and is screwed flat onto the wall. The Kemp Bronze is made of aluminium, has a lighter, copper-like tone and can be mounted floating with spacers.
A comfortable height is around eye level, roughly 1.50 to 1.80 metres, next to or above the front door. If the house number hangs on a wide façade, choose a spot you can see straight ahead from the street.
Order before 15:00 and your house number will be delivered the next day (within the Netherlands). Shipping within Europe is free. You have 15 days to change your mind and this house number comes with a 1-year warranty.
